Some really good movies being dropped in this thread. Making me all disappointed.

Was Hard Rain (1998) a really bad movie? I've tried to watch it a couple of times on cable, but don't think I've ever finished it. Still not sure who the bad people in the movie are. Morgan Freeman and Christian Slater. Minnie Driver, Randy Quaid. Edward Asner and Betty White. Was Mary Tyler Moore producing?
i like it. it's a solid mid budget action/suspense movie from the 90s that i miss.
Last Vegas is probably my answer. i'm sure there are worse movies that he was in, but that one was a ton of talent and star power for nothing that entertaining.

I hate that movie
You were downvoted 21-0 for this, and I agree with you.
I hate a movie that insults the viewer's intelligence and Gone Baby Gone was really arrogant about this, just so it could try to pull off a plot twist that was really dumb and obvious. When they couldn't find the body in a fricking quarry I knew it was one of those stupid plot twist endings, like Shutter Island which I really dislike for exactly the same reason. Just make a good movie without all the trendy (at the time) subterfuge.

Dreamcatcher
Starts off as a typical Stephen King
I was gonna say Lucy, because that movie sucked. But I forgot Freeman was in Dreamcatcher, and that is probably worse.

He was in a shitty comedy heist movie with Owen Wilson called The Big Bounce in the early 2000s that wasn't funny, wasn't exciting, and felt like an excuse for everyone in the cast to get a paid vacation to Hawaii for a few months.

This was first that came to mind without looking at all of the movies he was in. At the end I was saying, "That's it?".

Nurse Betty
Aw man, Nurse Betty is a quirky gem!
The fact that Morgan Freeman, a retiring hitman, falls in love with Nurse Betty, his mark, while also training his son, Chris Rock to be his replacement! fricking comedy gold!

Dreamcatcher Starts off as a typical Stephen King story about a group of friends reuniting as adults and staying at some cabins in the woods during their get together. One gets infected and becomes possessed by an alien. Then half way through the movie Morgan Freeman and the evil military show up and the movie becomes a half assed action military movie in the woods while still trying to be a half assed Stand By Me with shite aliens (oh yeah infected people have bloody shits in the movie) Terrible
The book was actually the same way. First half of the book was vintage Stephen King. I was burning through it.
Then the second half went completely off the rails! It was like King got bored and never finished it, and so his publisher handed the half completed manuscript to his nephew to finish, an aspiring writer just out of Nunez Community College.
