Lex was terrible. Period. Eisenberg should have never been cast,
I wish they'd go out and grab Rosenbaum. He was legit on Smallville

Yep.

The Lex being a contemporary of Clark is nothing new, so couldn't really fault with going for a younger actor. Eisenberg was just tied too much to the social network thing and shtick of being that ADD type of person to pull it off.
Hate to throw the name out, bit someone like Michael Fassbender would have been much more suited for the role. Someone lime him could have made role seem more like an evil Steve Jobs rather than an evil Mark Zuckerberg.
I also like the idea for using the president Luthor story bit, I think it would have required some set in Man of Steel to have worked in BvS.
About the bullet thing though, Lex uses his own tech all the time when trying to set Superman up. That isn't anything new, but were his prototype bullets a really known thing or something he was developing secretly that he used for the first time against Superman? Makes a huge difference in my mind about that plot point.

I'm just saying it would be overarching in the DCEU. Like if they approached it the Marvel way, I'd have Luthor win the Presidency at the end of Phase One, possibly winning it by fighting with the Justice League against Brainiac, and then make him the main antagonist as a Brainiac-infused Luthor at the end of Phase 2 only to be beaten and imprisoned.
Like Loki and Magneto, you can utilize Luthor in other roles besides the antagonist. That should be his role in the DCEU.

Yes, it should have been:
MoS - Luthor corps is mentioned in passing a few times, maybe show Luthor as a kid in the origin story briefly.
BvS - Luthor Corps and Wayne Enterprises leading a charge to keep the world safe from god-powered aliens or something.
JL - Luthor sides with the JL to take down a big bad (Brainiac is a good choice here).
JL2 - Luthor uses his fame from BvS and JL to run and win the presidency of the US and is the big bad in this movie.

We've seen enough Luthor. His on-screen batting average hasn't been close to The Joker's (even with the Suicide Squad stuff).
Thankful that they gave us Zod in MoS and are moving towards Darkseid with JL.
I could go another twenty years without Luthor showing up in the Superman films.

Doesn't matter, why would Luthor even frame Superman for murder using a bullet? Might as well put the terrorists in a gas chamber and blame it on Superman.

I beg to differ. We haven't seen him properly done on the big screen once. He should be the Loki and Magneto of DC Universe. No one minds them showing up when they're not the villains.
This is Lex Luthor as he should be: LINK

because Luthor is always immediately the bad guy.
A universe that has him as a good guy in two movies might make his motivations better.

They already took too much from MCU with the whole we should fear meta humans angle. A better subplot for Man of Steel would have been Luthor campaigning for office and winning, then at the end of movie, maybe in the end credits scene, gathering a group of people with Amanda Waller being one, and saying "Now what do we do about this so-called Superman?"

My understanding of that wasn't the bullet that framed Superman, but them thinking he murdered that guy while trying to save Lois.
I really need to rewatch as my memory is a bit hazy of when that plot point occurred.

No bodybuilder Luthors please.
Give me the guy from the 50's, 60's, and 70's who would escape from prison, not even bother to change out of his prison greys, put on a lab coat and get to work on defeating Superman.
