Link, or is the usual "too much smoke" before DC films...

I have enjoyed the DC movies and think they get too much hate.

The only plot issue that worries me is bringing back Captain Kirk

Aside from the controversies about Pedro and his recent deleted tweets, and some cringe worthy references to orange man bad in the movie, as if that wasn’t enough, I can post a long list of links here. But I doubt it would change anyone’s mind. I even liked the first wonder woman, even though I thought the ending was a bit ridiculous.

I’m not saying it is going to be terminator woke fate bad, but I am thinking that expectations will be subverted.

( and before anyone cries about me interjection politics into the movie, they did it first. I just refuse to accept it blindly and go along politely & buy that garbage. Interjecting 2020 social and political views in a movie that set in 1984 is just bad writing. )

Hell yes I’m one of those. I’m part of the fandom that wants to see a movie or tv show without being lectured to and told what a horrible person I am. Or that everything I thought I liked in the past is really racist or evil. Frick that.

It is OK to be one of those, because I am pretty sure the majority of the people out there just want a good movie without the politics or SJW message.

Pretty sure you are old enough to remember those days

Most of the time these “takes” are blown way out of proportion from people trying to find a “reference” to get mad about so they can post on Twitter and get a bunch of retweets. Then people see the movie and realize it was much to do about nothing.

I wonder how people would react to Little Giants if it were released today, with the female being the badass. Or The Wire, with Omar being gay. You could go on and on with that kind of stuff if you really wanted to. But some people are actively looking for it when they see a movie these days

I'm not sure that posting a video of a drunk guy giving an uniformed take based on nothing but his own assumptions is a good way to disprove that people are blowing "takes" about the unknown content of an unseen film out of proportion. It's almost as though you set out to prove the guy you're arguing with correct...

So showing you that it's not just MY take, but also the informed view of others, doesn't give you any pause, what so ever.

It's almost like you've set your opinion in stone, and despite what anyone says or shows, you're not budging.

Fine. You may be right, or it may be a hot pile of garbage. Time will tell. But assuming you saw the ENTIRE video, he was quite complimentary of the 1st WW movie. As I think most were. And while we'd love to see a solid follow up, there are signs that it won't go that way.

They only draw, besides popcorn, is that Big Screen experience. However another development IMO is the Ultra Short Throw Projector for home use. These are getting to 4K now and price is slowly coming down, but they are coming down.

I just got a 65 inch 4K uhd dolby vision (60hz) tv for $600 to hold me over until the next how where I’m going 120” UST. Have the surround sound set up and it sounds amazing. My only complaint is that Disney sucks arse at sound mixing. They need to step their game up.

That's insane. But I just ran a quick check and indeed, that's in line with what's being advertised. Been a good while since I bought a new screen myself. No need, at the moment, but damn...

If the director even brought it up, would you have even noticed? And even if you did, would it matter? Pedro’s character looks like a snake oil car salesmen. Sorry that’s accurate for he who shall not be named.

That has zero to do with Pedro's tweet. That's one issue, but the compulsion to interject current day politics into all movies is unnecessary for the story and turning many fans off. Many fans who liked the 1st movie and were eager to pay to see the 2nd, but now won't.

Your last sentence revealed much. Facts won't sway you in this discussion, so I'll not even bother.

Either way I don't plan on watching it. I'm becoming very jaded when it comes to comic book movies.

There's a long list of things Trump claimed which were proven to be true. And things he claimed would come, and in fact did.

You not liking Trump doesn't change anything. I was for another candidate in the primary, and damn straight, I was annoyed at Trump's antics as well. But you know what? He was proven to be correct more often than not and on major issues. So I got over it. You don't have to like the guy as long as his policies work. And his do.
