Or will they be the center of phase four moving forward? Solid move by Disney with a transition phase happening in the xmen franchise.

If Infinity War is a global event, can they throw in a quick newscast commenting on how every country on the planet is getting their arse kicked except Latveria for some unknown reason?

That would be a great set up. I was wondering how marvel could keep the attention of its fan base if they get rid of cap, iron man and Thor in the next phase but it looks like the universe will only get better now. Deadpool-Spiderman movie anyone?

Or any 6' tall, 200 lb. hulking "Wolverine" who towers over everyone.

But, I fear the pattern is set, so they might as well change the character to "Grizzly" FFS.

I doubt it since the plan was to film both back to back. So that means a good chunk of Avengers 4 has already been shot, and rewrites, reshooting and all that probably just isn’t in the cards to include any Fox properties.

Wouldn't it cause issues with the whole society being wary of mutants thing? Why would they be wary of mutants but be cool with all the other super heroes?

That's been the ironic subtext of the X-Men story from their start.

Exactly. This is a problem in the comics. The X-Men just don’t meld well with the Avengers. Keep them under the Fox banner, but bring in the Fantastic 4.

Hugh Jackman said he'd come back to play Wolverine if it was in an Avengers movie.

I think it is going to be easier to introduce the Fantastic Four to the MCU than the X-Men. F4 needs a reboot after the last film. How they get their powers can be explained by something something something Thanos, something something something infinity stones....

Nope, he's already said he's not interested. Looks forward to seeing who they'll cast.

No she's not. Marvel changed her and her brothers' origins in that Magneto isn't actually their father and that they're Inhumans now.

Polaris, however, is still a mutant.

No. The Fantastic 4 will.

And at the very end of Infinity Wars Doom will show up and end Thanos and challenge the avengers. Cut to black. End Credits.

Bad excuse or not, in Marvel the people fear mutants not because they have powers but rather that their powers come from their DNA. This is much different than normal people using science, tech, or magic for their power.

The groups that fear mutants primarily fear their evolution. If mutants are the next line of the human evolution (basically an answer to people with super powers. i.e. the easiest way to survive in a world with people like Thor, the Hulk, and Dr. Doom is to develop your own mutated power)

Iron Man has his powers because he built a suit. Inside it he is just like everyone else. Captain America has his powers because the US government injected him with roids. Magneto has his powers because his DNA is evolved from the normal human. Whole different ballgame.

Homo Sapiens won't be replaced by the Avengers but they could very well be replaced by Homo Superior. Remember in Marvel that there was literally MILLIONS of mutants. This was not a small glitch, this was a whole new species.
