ETA:

quote:

SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY has officially set a new record with $74.5 million in Thursday previews.

• Overtakes AVENGERS: ENDGAME (2019) for the biggest Thursday preview ever.

quote:

$95M+ OS THU for #SpiderMan Brand New Day.  $197M+ cume. Big new openings in India & Australia. Strong holds across Europe, LATAM & East Asia.

OS weekend projected for $575M+. Worldwide will be $925M+.

If this number is true, then it has a chance to surpass The Force Awakens' domestic record of $937 million. It would just need around a 2.7 multiplier. What a juggernaut Spider-Man is.

This and the odyssey could potentially do over $400 mil at the box office this weekend.

Spider-Man is the most relatable super hero and they've done a good job with him in the MCU.

It makes sense.

seems like they could have made a lot more money opening this thing on Memorial Day or July 4th weekends

Tom Holland says the plan is already "laid out" for the next #SpiderMan actor to take over after he leaves.

“There’s a whole plan that we have been working on for, I would say, since we finished ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home.' It’s laid out. It’s gonna change for sure, but I have a really clear vision to the passing on of the baton, and I think it’s really exciting.” (via Happy Sad Confused)

The problem with these marvel movies is they don’t finish post-production until right before the movie releases. I think they said this one didn’t finish post until mid-July.

We will get a live-action Miles trilogy before they ever finish the third Spiderverse.

This movie might actually pass the $2 billion mark if word of mouth is solid which seems like it will be.

I don't think they've done a great job at showing a struggling relatable peter parker tbh. Even in this one he's got a giant apartment and a high tech computer
