I thought the spider-man: miles morales movies would be childlike but they are actually just really good animated movies
The first one was incredibly well done. Huge fan of the style, humor, writing… watched it several times over.
Just because it’s animated doesn’t mean it’s just for kids. Lotta the old WB cartoons made references that adults got more than the target audience.

Longneck definitely slipped Roz his shortbeak before they migrated.

Watched it. Well done, had its moments, but it came off as mid, maybe a bit more, but nothing amazing.

Lol you two love to ruin everything. It’s a fricking well made kids movie, you couldn’t finish it?

It's a GREAT movie. I don't even have kids and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

It was good. Ever check out the studio ghibli movies? I love watching them with the kids.. theyre slower paced but its a nice switch up to more fast paced ones

It's a litmus test in a way. People that spend all day on politics and culture wars lose their ability to just experience innocent joy.

To which 'two' are you referring?
What was ruined?

I have no idea what you're going on about. I watched it. Liked it well enough. But imo, it was reminiscent of WALL-E, so not exactly groundbreaking stuff. I had heard great things, and maybe was expecting more. But it's a good thing that people genuinely enjoyed it.
Not sure what politics or culture had to do with anything.

you said it came off as mid. blueboy was the only person in this thread that said he couldn't finish the movie, then you go to his post history and he spends all day posting on the Poli Talk board.
have you ever heard the saying "negativity breeds negativity"?
maybe all those negative youtube videos you watch shitting on everything are affecting your ability to just sit down and appreciate stuff.

And here's what I ACTUALLY said -
"Well done, had its moments, but it came off as mid, maybe a bit more, but nothing amazing."
There. Not bashing it, not overly criticizing any particular thing about it, or talking about anything remotely political.

then you go to his post history
Wait, what? Who does that? Just take the view at face value. Why do you have to then run down one's post history? Very odd behavior you're admitting to. Politics wasn't even brought up, right? blueboy simply said he didn't finish the movie. OK. And?
seriously, WTF is even wrong with you? Not everything is for everybody.

I mean it isnt like it's my first time seeing blueboy post here. He is always bitching. I just clicked his post history to verify if he was still wrapped up in politics and sure enough he had 10 posts on the poli board today.
If you wanna be in denial and act like there isnt a correlation between the people that can enjoy the simple things in life and people that focus on politics 24/7 then go ahead.

What denial? People have opinions. About a range of things. You're the only one here interjecting matters not concerning the movie in this thread.
Why is that, i wonder.

The movie isnt mid at all. The movie is very good. I actually watched it again on vacation last weekend.

I bet I rewatched movies many times over that you'd have no interest in watching.
What's your point?

Good to know that your inability to enjoy anything new hasnt expanded to the things you are nostalgic for yet. I'll add that data to my case study

What's that even supposed to mean?
Do you even know?
*Yet - noted.
But still, wtf are you even trying to say? That I ONLY rewatch things from the past? (urge to swerve into Mel Brooks style comment suppressed)
