Queers need so much attention. Worst mental illness there is.

Not so much a commentary on Wicked per se, but actors in general. Needy psychopaths. Always.

More press tour 'content'.

OK guys so I went in blind last night without any knowledge of this BS, and one thing that stood out to me wasn't any gay animals, but rather the gay males. There's one part where a handsome prince arrives and everyone is swooning over him, including some obviously gay males. I was like, "WTF is this shite?"

Another thing that bothered me were the songs, or should I just say the singing. There was no set melody to any of them; it was like the characters were just singing words instead of just saying them. At least in The Wizard of Oz there were some catchy tunes. Not in this - for the most part just a bunch of nonsensical singing.

Oz was queer in a children's book written in 1900? Sure.
The little that I know of Baum is that he was a hetero obsessed with the theater and he took on his wife's cause of women's equality. That and he tried to milk every penny out of his Oz stories and didn't mind whoring his art to get paid.

But, yeah, they had gays in 1900.

So you know very little about the guy but the fact that there were gays in 1900 confirms that Oz was a gay place even in the children's books?

It took me two seconds to look it up but it's basically Ariana Grande just not being a very smart person. The word queer is used throughout the book, she took that as gay, when actually the word in the early 1900's just meant strange (maybe this is news to you too), not a reference to someone's sexuality preference.

But again, thanks for informing me of gays being around in 1900.

The point of that is to show how attractive the prince is to everyone. I don’t think that is going to turn you gay.

Welcome to how musicals work. People sing words instead of saying them.
