It's a mixture of the previous seasons being amazing and the fans of the show morphing into a combo of Breesus and Carson

Either the previous seasons are amazing or you guys are just a bunch of whiny bitches. Or both.

I caught up on previous seasons just to see what the fuss was about before this one started, and having been watching this one.

There is literally no difference. Its just as good.

Its basically a bunch of whiny bitches that have built up previous seasons to epic proportions and once something becomes popular that they love, they love to tear it down.

Its what the internet does.

I just recently did the same and have come to the same conclusion. Quality hasn't dropped, overall. Each season has its ups and downs. Whiny internet bitches mad it's become popular and they can't consider themselves smarter or cooler than everyone else for having watched it from ep 1. Sad.

It's not as good, I'm a super fan and the first 2 seasons have great episodes across the board, season 3 is good as a whole, but there are some lame boring episodes mostly the B plot stuff but the summer/beth stuff as a whole was cringe, and that is out of character for the show.

I never said it was bad, just not as good. There's a reason they had to pair down the 14 episodes they wrote into 9 total episodes. And it took them almost 2 years to produce it.

It's just lower quality, but still a great show.

I don't totally agree with this. There is an element of this, but there have been some duds this season that I'd put near my bottom 5 eps ever. Having said that, last week's episode is a top 5. This season to me seems to have some serious peaks and some pretty low lows. So I guess when you average it out, it's in line with the series.

My buddy texted me a Crackpot theory in that this has been Evil Morty's plan all along. Evil Morty wanted to create a refugee crisis at the Citadel, so he planted a mind control chip on one Rick, and then proceeded to go on a mass Rick murder spree and abducting Mortys. He framed Rick C-137 (who I'm convinced Evil Morty is our Rick's original Morty) for the murders knowing that he'd find them. The overflow of Morty refugees then created Morty Town, a drug fueled shithole and led to an escalation between the Mortys and the Ricks. Once Rick C-137 took out the puppet Council, Evil Morty uses the refugee crisis he himself created to rule the Citadel.

The theme for Evil Morty is so unsettling and wonderful

I'm glad they brought him back. The show needs a real villain other than his own depression for Rick C-137

Makes Mallory Archer look great in comparison. The only worse mother I can think of in modern animation is Bojack's mother.

Which brings to question: did Rick just take Morty with him, or did he take along Summer, Beth, and/or Jerry? I don't have much of a problem leaving the later 2 behind, but given all Summer has been through with them since then and continues to do for them, I would have a problem if they left the most recent iteration of Summer behind. 5 minutes seems to be plenty of time for Rick to gather up the 3 of them without much of an issue.
