Saw it way back when in the theaters when it came out and thinking back I may have to put it in my Top 10 comedies of all time.

Thoughts?

(Disclaimer, it didn't hurt that I was stationed in the UK at the time which definitely made the Brit personalities come alive for me)

I wanted a gif of Kevin Kline yelling "a-hole" at British drivers, but couldn't find one. So instead, I give you

a-hole!

Saw it for the first time a couple years ago and it’s just a joy to watch. Really fun.

I didn't watch it right away, but probably a year or so after it came out on video.

I mean, like Yellowbeard and a few other projects, it is an unofficial Python product and it should be my cup of tea, but it missed with me. I probably should watch it again because it was still riding that tide of some pretty good critical hype and I admit that the performances were all pretty good. But the whole was less than the sum of the parts for me.

I freely admit the problem may be with me and I may very well go back and give it another look. Hollywood certainly isn't doing much to get me interested in new films, particularly comedies.

It's my second favorite comedy behind Raising Arizona. Just love this movie.

My father was in the Secret Service Mr. Harvey Manfrenjensenden.

Michael Palin was knighted this week, he's had a pretty remarkable career. Supposedly John Cleese turned down a knighthood a few years ago.

I liked Fish Called Wanda well enough but there are probably 8-10 films involving Pythons that I like more. It may be a bit mainstream for my taste. Not sure why Fierce Creatures was such a flop at the box office, I may have liked that slightly more than Wanda.

Very good, but top 10, probably not. Possibly top 25.

I was only about 13 when it came out, so it didn’t interest me at the time, but I remembered people raving about it.

I rented it sometime in the 90’s in college. It was great, and recommended it to my group of friends. Many had never heard of it, but everyone really liked it.

Time hasn't been good to it, it's fallen quite a bit, but still VERY funny. IMO
