I'm talking about the other way around, in that Owen wouldn't remember him.

He was gray back then not gold. I doubt Owen had many run ins with protocol droids and probably assumed they all talked like that.

Having a boy Anakin for the first movie could have worked had it been darker. Imagine him being a true slave and kept in cages and mistreated. He's discovered for what he is and busted out by the Jedi and as the movies play out, he's mentally scarred from his traumatic childhood and plays a big part in his fall.

That sounds awful and sounds like Rob Zombie's Michael Myers.

I was thinking that 3PO introduced himself by his name, but I may be wrong.

Yeah, if this were the case, Vader would have been a psychopath from the very start. No way Obi Wan would have trained him in the Force. I wouldn't start Anakin's background as all that dark. An orphan, sure, but there are plenty of people with heroic backgrounds who are orphans.

I'm pretty sure he does, but the whole Anakin making C3PO is just another one of the asinine aspects of the prequels. As plinkett points out from the opening of Star Wars, those protocol droids are clearly mass-produced, not something a little kid would make tinkering in the garage

Better question: Why wasn't the Obi Wan character in Episode 1 Anakin and why wasn't the Qui Gonn character in Episode 1 Obi Wan?

This would've also helped with Natalie Portman not aging a day between Ep. I and II. But we would miss out on Yoda being right that he was too old to train. I guess they could've done a flashback to him as a boy

You're saying even if she had died peacefully at an old age Anakin still would have flipped?

Padme died peacefully. The medical droid even said she was perfectly healthy. Anakin does not do well with letting go.

I thought we were talking about his mother?

The point was someone asked if he would flip if his mom died peacefully. He flipped when his wife died peacefully so the precedent was set.

Umm, no. The Emperor told him that he murdered his own wife. In Vader's mind she didn't die peacefully, and she didn't either in real life. She died... of grief (can't believe I just typed that out). Dying peacefully is this:

In my bed, at the age of 80 with a belly full of wine and a girl's mouth around my cock.

He knew he didn't kill her. "She was alive. I felt her".

Yeah, that was me.

But that was after his mother had been tortured and killed, so maybe that just pushed him over the edge. Maybe if his he and his mom hadn't been separated and then her killed he could have handled Padmah better?
