Haven’t seen him mentioned but I really like Jim Jefferies. Not my current favorite, that’s probably Mulaney, but he’s pretty good.

Mitch Hedberg used to be my favorite comedian. He still is but he used to too.

If I can't vote Louis CK, then I'm going with John Mulaney (for current comics).
Saw Mulaney live on his tour this year, all new material and just as funny as ever. He's great.

Downloaded some of his stuff on iTunes and I was disappointed. He was way funnier as Fred G. Sanford.

Bill Burr, Brian Regan, Jim Jefferies, Dave Attell, Mitch Hedberg, Patrice O'Neal.
I've only seen one special from him, so I don't know how I'd rank him, but Judah Frielander's crowd work was exceptional.
And while I'm not much of a fan of what came after it, Steve Martin's 'Let's Get Small' belongs on the Mt. Rushmore of comedy albums IMO...

I haven’t heard much of his stand up, but what I did hear it seemed like he just told dirty jokes, nothing original

I love a lot of comedians (Carlin and Louis CK probably at the top based on those I’ll never get bored listening to) but lately I’ve really enjoyed Tom Segura and I liked Chappelles latest stuff on Netflix

Chappelle’s new one was funny.

Chris Rock is my favorite of all time. He's the one who inspired me to get on stage. He just spoke to my sensibilities. My appreciation for him is so strong that I have a hard time listening to anyone who doesn't dig him. Call it hero worship. It's justified in my mind. He is who I aspire to be.
Mitch Hedberg is one of my favorites, for sure. He had his introverted, awkward style. I saw him live a few months before he died. He was so hammered he could barely spit out his old jokes. It was still great to see him, but looking back I see that he was in a severe downward spiral and I wish he could have gotten out of it.
George Carlin was a genius. He had a lot of intelligence, and he had a great way of breaking down things with a comedic edge. The football vs. Baseball bit is one of my absolute favorites.
Anthony Jeselnik is hilarious and most closely resembles my style of comedy: little stories grounded in reality that come with a horrifically dark twist ending. He's like M. Night Shymalans twisted uncle.
I'll try to think of others later.

I have a Pony is one of the great comedy albums of all-time.
"I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize."
"If you are in a spaceship that is traveling at the speed of light, and you turn on the headlights, does anything happen?"
"Why is it a penny for your thoughts, but you have to put your two cents in?" "Somebody's making a penny."
"How do you tell when you're out of invisible ink?"
"What's another word for Thesaurus?"
"If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you."
"My theory of evolution is that Darwin was adopted."
"I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she left me before we met."
"Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time."
"When I turned two I was really anxious, because I'd doubled my age in a year. I thought, if this keeps up, by the time I'm six I'll be ninety."
"I have two very rare photographs. One is a picture of Houdini locking his keys in his car. The other is a rare photograph of Norman Rockwell beating up a child."
"If you were going to shoot a mime, would you use a silencer?"
"I installed a skylight in my apartment... The people who live above me are furious."
"OK, so what's the speed of dark?"
"Cross country skiing is great if you live in a small country."
"Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it."
"I was going 70 miles an hour and got stopped by a cop who said, "Do you know the speed limit is 55 miles per hour?" "Yes, officer, but I wasn't going to be out that long.”
"I know the guy who writes all those bumper stickers. He hates New York."
"I went to the museum where they had all the heads and arms from the statues that are in all the other museums."
"Someone told me half of all car accidents happen within a mile of your house. So I moved."
"You know how it is when you're reading a book and falling asleep, you're reading, reading... and all of a sudden you notice your eyes are closed? I'm like that all the time."

I'm all over the page on comedy. Don't typically like over the top vulgarity... but I have always liked Richard Pryor's stuff and Kevin Hart is pretty funny.
So.....
all time
1. Jerry Clower
2. Richard Pryor
3. Bill Cosby
now
1. Bobby Collins
2. Brian Reagan
3. Kevin Hart
..... grew up listening to Jerry Clower and have probably heard all of his jokes a dozen times or more but they still make me laugh.

I think Carlin is probably the best ever.
But right now, my favorite is probably Patton Oswalt as he comes closest to my personal sensibility of alt-comedy but also addicted to proudly geeky pursuits. Jim Jerries and Bill burr were great calls, and the world misses Greg Giraldo and Mitch Hedberg. I love Kathleen Madigan as well and Dave Chappelle has a perfect ability to irritate everyone which I greatly appreciate. Louis CK is great but that masturbation thing is plain creepy.
I do like Bill Hicks and his comedy descendants like Doug Stanhope, but I also admit that they can get exhausting.
