It wouldn't have gotten to season 7 and beyond without Michael though
True. And when I was watching it for the first time, I wanted him to return. Although, he doesn't crack my top 5. He has his moments.

Dwight, Stanley or Creed. I can't decide.

Me too, but the show was still great.
I don't know, he might be my number 1. Just how perfectly stupid he was while also being great in spots was so fun to watch.

Creed, Kevin, Stanley and Toby always had a line or two in each episode that made us laugh out loud. But without Dwight I don’t think the show would’ve lasted. My personal favorite though was one Mose Schrute. Every time I saw him, I started laughing. The scene at the garden party where he lines all the cars up to go all Evil Kenevil on them, then just run over them is priceless

He just had his moments where he just wasn't likeable.
I would have to go
Kevin
Creed
Andy
Dwight
Darryl
Pam
Michael
Jim
Stanley
The rest.

This is the first time I’ve ever seen Jenna not dressed as Pam. Good god

Bob Vance. Vance Refridgeration.

I don't know why but I am starting to see a ton of the people from The Office pop up in movies now. Maybe they have been for a long time and I never really noticed.

The show was fine without a Michael after season 7
Michael made the show, but I agree, surprisingly; Dwight and Andy was strong enough to carry it. With that said, I thought Robert California was awful. And that Nellie woman.. They went too far out there with that story line.
I think you have to have the right balance when it comes evolving characters and introducing new ones.
For example, let's say Jim would have replaced Michael. He would have gone from an immature paper salesman who really didn't take his career serious to being responsible for the entire office. He would have been a more serious boss than Michael, but the audience was already familiar with him and him and Dwight could have more interaction.. going back and fourth between being allies and enemies... depending on what's going on with Andy.
Business was always shaky and at some point there would have to be a major change. Let's say a hardware store, looking to increase their sales nationwide could buy them out and each salesman is responsible for selling products in a certain category (tools, paint, material used by contractors to build houses, etc)..
Then, they would have to expand, so they bring in new characters. The company wants someone other than Erin at the front desk so Jim decides to more her in accounting. Angela would leave the company and they would hire an accounting manager. So they would have Oscar, then Kevin and Erin.
There are all kinds of directions they can go with it.

Thank God you didn't work on the show.

Has anyone ever told you that you are an awful, awful writer?
From your style to your substance to your ideas...you are just horrific.
