I liked Capaldi as the Doctor, but hated the writing for him. He has the charisma to have done so much more. I also liked the Christmas episode with him and River. Her speech about the doctor and then him revealing to her who he was made it great.

But Tennant is my doctor.

Colin Baker, the sixth Doctor, is by and large considered the worst doctor of the first seven
Not sure I can agree with this, but then I haven't seen much of the first 2 or the 7th to judge.

That said, I had the occasion to meet with Colin Baker in person a couple of years ago, and he's a delightful, very funny man. Plus he was pro-Brexit, which shows he's politically astute as well

To be honest, I thought the show had started to lose steam during the final season with the Ponds, and I thought Clara was too overpowering.

Bill was pretty terrible. I'm also not a fan of Donna. Possibly because I saw her in the office before Doctor Who and I really hate her Office character.

Clara and Amy are the best. I really liked Martha's short run as well.

I'm digging the trio for Whitaker. But it says something about how forgettable the storytelling has been since I dont remember any of their names.

Capaldi was the reason I started to watch Doctor Who. He was fantastic in The Thick of It and In the Loop. And I hadn't seen Doctor Who in decades. The show had gotten a lot better than what I was used to, and I started watching the re-runs as well. And, yes, the writing started to falling off during Capaldi's tenure. And it's fallen off a cliff since then.

4 episodes in to the chick doctor's run. The companions are entertaining, but man these stories are cringe-worthy. Season started out great in the first two episodes of the season, but episodes 3 and 4 make it clear we're headed to leftist lunacy. We'll see where it goes from here.

ETA: Episode 5 has a male pregnancy.

Bill is BY FAR the worst. Clara is BY FAR the best. Her last season with Capaldi are easily some of my favorite episodes of Doctor Who. I tried to watch the first and second seasons with Whitaker and lost interest.

Shout out to River Song as being a personal favorite of mine. While I love looking at Amy Pond she runs around screaming 'Doctor!' an awful lot......

I couldn’t make it more than a few episodes into the new doctor’s run. The characters, the storylines, all are the worst they’ve been since the revival of the show.
