I expect around $700 million just in domestic. You underestimate Star Wars fans and their ability to go see that movie a dozen times
Yeah, I don't doubt that American gross will be somewhat close to TFA, but you overestimate Europeans and Asians giving a shite about Star Wars. I've lived abroad, and honestly Star Wars is a bit of a joke. They all know we're obsessed with it, which is really the only reason they watch it in the first place.
Star Wars is pretty much an American only fixation.

Rogue One supports this and made a billion by the skin of its teeth. I'm predicting 1.4 billion for it.
The anthology movies won't do nearly as well as the trilogy movies.
I agree it won't catch Force Awakens but I still like its chances to end up number one for the year. Only way it doesn't, IMO, is if it gets mediocre reviews.

Just looking at the Box Office for past movies, it seems they generally do about as well internationally as domestically. And I agree, it's not a huge pop culture phenomenon everywhere. But even Rogue one made about as much outside the US as it did here.

That list is essentially why I stopped going to the movies

Everyone will see that. Kids will want to see it, parents will want to take their kids to Disney's masterpiece in live action, and grandparents will either take their grandkids or want to relive what they had with their kids when watching it.
It's a princess movie. Little boys could give two shits about it, much like little boys like myself when i was kid.
I'm sure it'll make over a billion though, but i, nor my two boys have any want to see it.

One word to you and your boys: Gaston

Me and my boys couldn't care less about your one word, or a movie centered around a princess.

The ones made by Disney

Not a single, original, non-prequel/sequel/reboot/spinoff among them, sadly.
It's next to impossible for a movie to come out of nowhere and do a billion at the box office. It has to have that built in momentum.
