If you count Disney, do it before the Marvel and 20th Century absorption. I'm going with Univsrsal. The monster Classics, Jaws, Jurassic Park, etc.

Probably Universal. They seem to be a giant in the industry.

Like think back on the best movies you’ve seen, and it always starts with the spinning globe and “buh buh buuuuuh buuuuuhhhh. buh buh buh buh buh”

I came to this thread to give a shout out to A24.

They absolutely do not have the best films in their catalog. But for my money, they are currently putting out the highest percentage of high quality films year in and year out.

Universal has the best classic movie catalogue- up until the mid 70s or so.

I think warner is the best of the last 40 years though.

a little off-topic, but to this day, when I see the 20th Century Fox logo and music, I still expect to hear the opening of Star Wars.

That, alone, made them my favorite for decades

Of more recent ones, that and Focus Features. Focus does have the blemish of the first “50 Shades of Grey”, but I’ll forgive them since they didn’t do the sequels.

And if you want to add in animation, I think Pixar and Ghibli are up there.

I agree. A24 rarely puts out a bad film. Most are at least solid, with many of them being great.
