Road Warrior has that awesome gritty vibe, but wow Fury Road just had amazing visuals like this.

Fury Road due to the visuals and Hardy.

Road Warrior is a perfect film. It's a western, THE post apocalyptic wasteland film for which all others are measured, and is still perhaps the greatest pure action film ever made.

It invented a genre and actually pushed heavy metal music style in real life. There are no higher compliments that can paid to the Road Warrior.

Fury Road isnt even a Mad Max movie, it's a movie about a chick with one arm and her burnt out sidekick.

And of course... There's no Mel

I'm guessing you've never seen a Mad Max movie then. It's never about Max. He's just a vehicle to explore the world he's in. Which is why he really doesn't talk.

Really?

So, who has a more prominent role in those movies?

Fury Road underwhelmed me. If I never see it again, no big deal. I'll watch Road Warrior anytime it's on, though. Hell, I have a small Road warrior poster in a frame on a bookcase.

Plus, last of the V8 Interceptors, brah.

You don't understand Mad Max movies. It's never been about the characters. It's about the world and the environment.

There's a fan theory the Feral Kid in Road Warrior is Max in Fury Road, but I think that's stupid. There's no continuity with these films and it's fine that way.

Road Warrior is probably a better movie, but Fury Road was an amazing experience in a movie theater

So happy I saw it in IMAX. But I would have loved to have seen it in a Dolby Theater more.
