I mean, Luke and Han were all that was left and Vader has a more advanced fighter and outclasses them both as a pilot at that point. Sure, he doesn’t have backup but neither do they. I wouldn’t call him helpless. Han and Luke are great pilots but Anakin/Vader has just sooo much experience and is slightly more talented than both. It’s not a forgone conclusion that Luke and Han take him out. Could go either way

What would have happened if Vader didn't show off in Rogue One killing each person slowly and just got the plans back? He could have used the force to yank back the plans too:

The plot holes were created by the spinoffs and sequels/prequels. The original trilogy also had some plot issues but nothing like the spinoff bullshite creates for the originals. So did the originals suck, or did the spinoffs suck?
