What was the SJW stuff I was supposed to see in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse?

Just saw it this weekend. Was totally ready for ideological warfare, and. . .
. . .nothing.
No girl power quips. . .no frick whitey shite. . .no straight people are the worst nonsense. . .
Where was all the alleged SJW stuff?
Also, great film all around. Hope we get a Miles Morales live action some day.

Spiderverse was such a great movie. The only people who have a problem with it are the ones who didnt even see it.
What happened was people saw the trailers and they saw a black spiderman as well as a female Spiderman and they began the melt immediately.

The climate being what it is you can't blame them. I'm still waiting to see the movie.
There's too much of the bullshite out there for the people in this thread to just dismiss people with concerns out of hand. None of you are better than anybody else.

Well if you want to talk about sky screamers, complaining about a movie you haven’t seen and complaining about things in that movie that weren’t in that movie in the first place, is the definition of sky screaming

I didn’t see it. But the idea of changing an established character’s sex or race to brand it as fresh new idea is pretty stupid. And it’s easy to do.
I’m asian and making Spider-Man asian doesn’t make the story more enjoyable to me. If anything it’s less because Hollywood producers are thinking “hey, if we change the race of a character, we can appease the audience”. So that’s all it takes now? Are people that easily manipulated? There are people who think “I’m happy because I identify with the character’s sex or race”. Pretty sad.
If you want to create up with a new character and determine his or her race, that’s fine. But messing with a established character because you can’t come up with something new is lame. What next? Brittany Wayne as Batwoman? Asian Hulk? Senor Fantastic?

Take something that you don't have the context for, apply it to your fricked up world view that the the opposing party is out to destroy your culture, then get outraged about it, when any bit of research would have proved you wrong.
