I mean is it really Elijah Wood and his dog that is a man dressed up in a costume?
Confused.
Confused.

Elijah Wood is a suicidal (or something) neighbor to the girl that owns the dog. He's an actual dog, but Elijah Wood sees him as the guy in the suit.

Yup. Looks pretty funny.

The previews started during the last run of Suns of Anarchy.
Elijah's character is trying to commit suicide (and failing) when his new, cute neighbor knocks on his door then asks him if he can watch her dog for a few minutes (everyone else sees and hears a normal dog, Elijah's character sees and hears a guy in a dog suit - and is able to communicate with him).

Has this started yet? I actually like the idea...

Wilfred was originally a show on Austrailia's version of PBS. They use to play episodes on IFC. (They might still, it's been a while since I checked.) The guy in the dog suit is the same actor from the Austrailian version and he was pretty funny. I'll probably give it a shot to see how it works with Frodo.

Who thinks the dog tell him he has no chance with the girl in the first conversation they have?
Who thinks the dog will tell him, "I will do whatever I can to keep you from hitting that" in the same first conversation?
Who thinks the show will basically be the above scenario over and over and over with him having to be nice to the dog even though he knows it is not going to do him any good? (Kind of like a kid out in public being extra nice to a parent to keep them from punishment)

Alright, that actually sounds pretty funny.
I just got nothing from the previews other than wtf.
And unlike most people around here, I like Elijah Wood.

It's a remake of an old show, iirc.

It looks promising. If they can keep it really dark with the humor it should be good.
