In that scene boss/bluebonnet is sitting with his back against bags of grain after he's shot then fires both barrels through a wood wall as he is bracing the gun.
If thats the scene you are referencing.

But seriously, I grew up hunting with one of my dad's a best friends, a guy who served in Vietnam, and he said that The Siege of Firebase Gloria was the movie that best described his time over there.
