Not movie related, but a public blunder. In 4th grade we were playing something like Charade. I guessed an answer and must have been close to being right. I misheard the teacher's reply of "Be specific." to my answer and blurted out, "Big Pacific!"

When I first saw Return of the Jedi, when the trap door sends Jabba's dancer to the Rancor, it cuts to Jabba eating a frog.
I thought the dancer was turned into the frog.

My ex wife thought the name of the band was, “Haulin’ Oats.”

There was a song I didn't recognize and asked on a music forum for help. I described it as a song by Kool and The Gang, and I only knew a few lines. It turned out to be a song by Simply Red (!?!?!?).

Not mine but I’ve heard about the famous CCR lyric, “There’s a bathroom on the right”

I thought that “ Separate Ways” by Journey was a civil rights song.
“ Here we stand. Rosa Parks’ Heart’s broken in two, two, two”

When I first heard ZZ Top's "Tush"
I ain't askin' for much.
I said, Lord, take me downtown,
I'm just lookin' for some touch.
You know, because touch rhymes with much.

Same. It works both ways anyway, and rhymes better like you said

I'm 61 years old. Been listening to Gordon Lightfoot songs since I was a kid in the 1970s.
Just a few years ago, I went looking online for a famous song of his. Could not find it at all anywhere.
Finally, my search results let me know that a song I knew since the 1970s as "Every Highway" was actually titled "Carefree Highway" and I had been singing it wrong for about the last 50 years.

I used to confuse Blythe Danner's (Gwyneth Paltrow's mom) name with Blair Underwood (a black male actor). My buddy who hosted team trivia never let me live that down
