What are some of your favorite classic movies?

I am talking pre-1970, not “Jaws”, “Star Wars” or anything from the 80’s.
We all know of “Wizard of Oz” and “Gone with the Wind” (which I’ve never seen in its entirety).
One of my favorite classics is “Forbidden Planet”. I saw it at the Varsity in the early 80’s, in a double feature with the original “The Time Machine”, and it has always been on top of my list ever since.
My second runner up is “Roman Holiday”. I never saw it until a couple years ago, before going to Rome on vacation myself.

The man with no name movies, Dr Strangelove, Psycho, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Great Escape, The Magnificent Seven, The Dirty Dozen, Rosemary's Baby, Midnight Cowboy, True Grit , ONce Upon a Time in the West, The Hustler, The Wild Bunch, The Manchurian Candidate, Bullit, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, Cape Fear, The Graduate, Easy Rider to name a few.
The early Bond movies also.

All great movies, but they are all mega blockbusters (“Great Escape” is one of my favorites), but what about some sleepers, like “Forbidden Planet”?

Why are we talking? Don't admit that shite on a movie board and hope to still post topics about classics.
You haven't seen Gone with the Wind and you want to have conversation about classics? That's like a baby wanting to discuss menapouse.

I’ve seen the entire thing, just not in one sitting, the same with “The Godfather”. TBH, I don’t really care that much for GWTW.
