Back to Dragons.

Spoilers

During the Dance of Dragons a call out was made for people try and mount the unclaimed dragons of Dragonstone. Some were wild while some were “stabled” after their owners died. There were a couple base born riders who managed to do it.

Thus...Tyrion would not necessarily have to be Targ. However, given the amount of “dragonseed” spread throughout Westeros, the Lannister blood does have Targ in it.

However,

I think it is much more likely that Aerys fathered Jaime and Cersei. I say this not so much because of the incest...but, Joffrey. His temperament is that of Maegor the Cruel, Aemond, Aerys. Very much like the Jerks of the Targ bloodline.

With Fire & Blood I think this is now an overstatement. We now know male dragon riders suffered from infertility issues. Not all but specifically the early Targaryen Kings who frequently mounted their dragons to put down uprisings. The 7 kingdoms didn't come together overnight.

It might not have been known to be an issue or wasn't widely known throughout the Westeros. I'm not certain if Aegon knew he was infertile and accepted both sons because he needed an heir. Everything hints that he was unaware of the possibility as he embraced both sons from each sister as his own.

I agree, but, fire and blood also says that the younger brothers and sisters were married off to great houses throughout southern Westeros.

Also says that many bastards ran throughout the kingdom looking like targs.

Also, Why was it so important to include Cannibal? Or just a red herring

Then why did Ned never tell Robert, his best and most trusted friend, that Jon's is a Targ?

Let me help you. It's b/c Robert would have had the baby killed immediately.

That’s kind of how I felt about A Feast for Crows.

It is definitely my least favorite book. Almost entirely bc of the cersie in prison chapters. They are almost unbearable to read. It's just entire chapters of her talking about how stupid everyone is, except for her. Or how terrible everybody else is, except for her. Or how unfaithful everyone is except for her.

Your just reading chapters and thinking "no your the idiot. No your the idiot. No your the idiot." I just hate how incredibly stupid her actions were but she never puts any blame whatsoever on herself.

I think that book is a major reason GRRM hasn’t finished the series yet. Instead of bringing his story towards a conclusion, he added a bunch of mediocre storylines.

There are way too many POV characters in the final two books. Areo Hotah and Arys Oakheart should have never been POV characters. There are also too many Iron Islanders in the POV cast as well. And this is a critique of earlier books as well, but I don’t think Dany should have ever been a POV character. For the first 3 books you should have seen it through Jorah, and then Book V transfer Dany’s story to Barristan. Just have Jorah go in with Dany for the House of the Undying since that’s the only essential one where either he or Barristan aren’t present.

Too much prophecy associated with Dany’s storyline to leave out completely otherwise I’d agree.

Guess you could transfer that to Melissandre or something but not sure if it would work.

ETA: didn’t see the last part of your post
