This opens the door for the possibility (although I don't think likely at this point, based on the evidence) that EVERY character is a host. Just some are programmed to think they're in the old west. others are programmed into thinking they're staff and yet others think they're guests.

Again, not likely, but possible. And they're caught in some sort of grand, Matrix-like loop that has to be reset every 30 years or so.

Well we know that in the older shots with Arnold and Ford that there are lab techs wearing the old logo.

Maybe the old logo is a nod to Arnold and what we're starting to suspect is his continue presence as the "God" voice the self-aware hosts are speaking to. That no matter how much we try to erase it, the past isn't going away.

FWIW, I think the different "timelines" has to do with the flashbacks/latent memories of the hosts. Like Dolores in the last episode physically in the present with Lawrence and Logan but mentally flashing back to when she experienced that same maze journey before in an unknown timeframe. I don't think it's any coincidence that she's the oldest host in the park and is the one experiencing these things.

And she was aware that there are real people and hosts, which is the opposite of the hosts in the park. How do they keep the self-aware hosts from revolting?

That's a good question. They've probably not suffered to the same level of trauma as the hosts in the park, so that's easier to manage. They also require a more limited range of programming options as their jobs are pretty routine.

I was coming to this thread to post something similar.

Is it possible that some of the employees are host that completed the maze and passed the test?

I like how cerebral this show is. like no two people see the same thing. Lot's of good discussion.

I look forward to it more the TWD now.

Interesting... There might end up being a lot of that sort of thing in this show. Remember the photo Abernathy found in the first episode? Just rewatched and noticed that it's slightly different each time it's shown. Would have thought Abernathy's finding the picture was a once only thing, like the stray host and Elsie's dealings with him.

I'm in the William = MiB camp and had thought we were merely dealing with different time periods on one timeline. Guess there may be more to it.

the issue I have with the multiple timeline theory is that some of the proof is William taking a hit in the second episode by a gun and the guns don't phase MiB. The bullets also didn't phase Logan in a couple scenes so that kind of blows that out of the water but it really is an odd inconsistency.

I really don't know what to make of a lot of this stuff so far. Initially, I thought Dolores was motivation for the good guy and MiB was the bad guy as a continuation of the best between Ford and Arnold. Essentially a race to the end of the maze with MiB doing whatever he wanted/needed to finish the maze while William is doing it for Dolores.
