I hated Franco at first but now I miss his character .

I actually came to appreciate Med School much more in syndication. It really was better than people gave it credit for in first run. I even kind of just tolerated it at first, but it grew on me.

Season 9 is how I found out James Franco had a brother

I look at it like a spin off too. Screw anyone who doesn't.
I look at it like the first 8 seasons as a great workout, and season 9 was the cool down period.

You can call it a spinoff but it had the same cast. It wasn't a spinoff.
were there 47 spinoffs of ER?cast change isn't a spinoff.
I'm not saying it was a spinoff...that's just how I viewed it. And I think that helped me enjoy it more than most people did, as I guess they expected it to still be the same "Scrubs" as always, even though it was basically a completely different show.

And no it wasn't nice to see JD and Turk. They were the worst part of season9.
Their overt gayness was annoying, no doubt. I just mean in terms of seeing familiar faces.

Bs. The concept didn't change. Sacred heart was also a teaching hospital.
the only change was the perspective from JD to the new female jd
I thought season 9 took place at a university (wasn't Sacred Heart torn down and rebuilt has part of the university or something)?

You sound like fun. Switching from JD to another character is a huge shift and "Season 9" was originally billed as a spin-off of the show. As I recall, they only got ABC to agree to it because Braff and Faison agreed to stay on for one season to see if it could survive on its own. The main characters from Scrubs had mere cameo appearances, except for Turk and Dr. Cox, whose roles were still substantially diminished. It was, for all intents and purposes, a spin-off, a la Frasier from Cheers.

I'm a fan of Season 9. I thought it was pretty damn funny. It was starting to hit its groove toward the end of the season before it got canned. Drew and Denise's relationship and Cole and Lucy's relationship were starting to feel more real and began to get funnier. The cast clearly started to feel more at ease as the season went on.
I would have liked it if they tried to keep it going, but ABC hates Eliza Coupe and continually cancels her funny arse shows.

It is a shame because I have liked Coupe in everything she has done. Damn you ABC!

The whole "How to Save a Life" montage/scene is fricking beautiful television.
And I liked the episode with Colin Hay singing "Overkill." Appropriately titled "My Overkill."
IIRC it was the first episode of Season 2

Season 9 was really starting to take off right before they cancelled if
Also whose y'all's favorite character? Mine has to be Dr. Cox with Kelso as a strong second

One thing that bugged me was Jordan's facial expressions after the first couple of seasons. She must've had too much work done to her face or something, but it seemed like she had this perma-grin or something going on.

What's funny is that would actually fit with her character

One of my favorite shows all time. However, working in the healthcare field, it is ridiculous how much the Dr's do that actually done by nurses.

This. I work in a teaching hospital and interns never do our labwork(I wish).
