That movie was a lot harder to watch than I would have thought.

The movie doesn't follow the book with regards to his capture. But with that said, it's a stunning movie. What these guys do is the reason I hang an American flag from my house every day.

This....but I had a hard time getting through that part in the book. Thought it was very boring. The part of the book where he describes the training, etc. is outstanding

I remember watching a behind the scenes. Berg and the stunt coordinator were meeting with the stunt guys. One line stood out from Berg.

"Sorry, but we are going to break you guys"

I watched it Saturday night and thought it was a really good movie. I did not know the backstory either. I will read the book next.

Finally watched it and not sure why the ratings aren't higher. Really good movie and ranks up there with Zero Dark Thirty as best films about the war in the middle east.

I looked at my wife and said if Peter Berg didn't direct this then whomever did just straight up stole some of the score from Friday Night Lights.

ZDT tackled much more complex subject matter. I'm not saying Lone Survivor isn't a more compelling story, but ZDT just struck me as a much more difficult film to make.

This was an awesome movie. It did vary from the book but still a good movie. It's awesome to know we have guys like that fighting for us over there.

On another note if you liked this book I highly recommend "Fearless" it's another book about SEALs in battle and is just as good if not better in my opinion.

I bought the book today. It was supposed to be for Christmas but I think I'm gonna go ahead and start reading now.

Marcus and his twin who is also a SEAL both had small parts in the beginning of the movie.

Loved the book and film.

From what some claims have said....the book strayed from the real story too.

My only real non spoiler criticism of the film is to call it lone survivor and show which of the 4 comes back in the opening scenes.

Marcus was in like 2-3 different spots in the movie I think.
