My unpopular opinion is TWD is an enjoyable watch all the way through IF you have unlimited fast forward and you use it liberally.

And the cliffhanger on the season 6 finale pissed a lot of people off, so that didn’t help.

The problem was how they did it IIRC. They should’ve killed redhead whatshisface in the finale, and then Glenn in the next season opener, instead of both in the opener. That would’ve given some satisfaction with the finale, and then Glenn would’ve been a gut punch and a complete shock IMO.

I was into the show a lot but once Rick died my interest waned a good bit. And then the ridiculousness that they kept doing pushed me away. I remember it being not so much woke, but consisting of lots of woke pieces. I remember them portraying Judith as a badass wielding a fricking .357 Magnum. She’s like 7 years old and handling that gun. That was pretty egregious to me and about when I checked out. For whatever reason, it also got sort of boring with Hilltop and Maggie and the place with the tiger dude and all that. It became almost a chore to watch and I just sort of lost interest until I finally walked away.

I’d like to rewatch it one day though, and finish it out.

Did y’all all watch the standalone Negan origin episode?

Might be the best thing Walking Dead did in the last 6 or 7 years.

Redhead whatshisface's (Abraham) death was lame regardless, they changed it from the comic when he was the one who got the arrow through the eye instead of the fat lesbo.

Read the comic instead. It's been finished now for a few years. Coral is actually a cool character.

The Boomerang storytelling killed the show.

Why didn't they just go up into the barn loft and check out the walkers? They might have noticed sophia. Also, could have just picked off the walkers from a safe distance.

I think I quit after a tiger was on a leash.

I don't feel like looking it up - how did the show end?

The show died with Shane.

Shane and Rick as a team would have been formidable foes for all of the big bads they ran into. If they could have just learned to coexist. Shane was an a-hole but, he was right most of the time.

If he could have just reined it in just a bit, maybe fewer people in their group would have died.

That Popeyes joke is the cream of the crop. I nearly passed out laughing the first time I saw it.

For me the tap out (after getting progressively more willing to do it) was the zombies in the hilltop. All of the sudden the shambling wrecks of corpses are ninja fast in the infirmary. Then, a whole arse zombie falls down the stairs to a room full of people sleeping on a hardwood floor...and NO ONE WAKES UP.

Jesus.
