That is what I am wondering. I figure everyone else is going to be relieved. I also think Ricks wife will go somewhere and cry alone.

There won't be much time for anyone to react to Shane's death given the approaching zombie horde.

I'm wondering how the much alluded to dwindling supply of ammo is going to affect the battle of the barn. They will have to use the guns due to the sheer size of the horde, but it will leave them vulnerable to the prisoners group of friends should they leave the farm (which I think they will).

If you're trying to say that is a spoiler, you should realize the show aired last night and the no spoilers warning in the OP was for before and during the show.

i thought about this also.. but judging from the horde of walkers coming towards the farm, im guessing that that will be season 3 material

zombie steroids. it's what jenner whispered to rick.
i loved this episode. the scene btwn rick and shane was great despite me not being able to resist reading the spoilers for that episode. i'm a weak man.
i forgot to copy a response from someone a few pages back on suspension of disbelief...but this is a show where the dead walk the earth. that is all.
also to answer the spinal cord reference, i know we're probably not going to be able to nail down all the specifics of zombie physiology right now, but i thought the CDC/jenner episode pretty much laid out that fact that the brain stem is what reanimates so i took it to mean that's all that needed to be in tact.
of course then we get into the fact that stabbing any part of the brain seems to kill them. good thing i don't worry about things like that and just try to enjoy a show.
looks like all the FPS fans will get a good finale.

Might they be stronger because they haven't been decomposing yet?

In fairness, the live image of a zombie's brain scan shown at the CDC seemed to show the virus active in the brain stem but sending impulses to select parts of the brain. Therefore, the zombie would probably be taken out by the general severe damage to brain tissue because the signals originating from the stem wouldn't be acted upon for whatever function.

If it makes everyone happy I will post only in a separate in-show thread next week that will be labeled for possible spoilers.
Now can we please drop it?
you should have been intelligent enough to do this a while ago instead of trying to come across as a know it all.

Whew, finally finished 18 pages and i don't remember this being discussed.
Shane obviously was motivated to go out and kill Rick.
However, in an odd way he really saved the group from the 'human' threat. Once Shane unmasked Randall and let him loose he immediately started to say how he is going to love the group and how he clams up when he is nervous. This made it quite obvious that he was going to go back and rejoin the group. Beyond that Randall is from the area so even if you let him go 5-10-20 miles out he is going to know the area and will link back up with his group if they haven't moved on. If that group decided to seek vengeance they would have almost certainly wiped the farm out. It is not like they are ready for a surprise attack from an armed group of men.
Gun shots may have alerted the local zombie horde so that part is another story.

Knocked up Andrea? Can't rule that out yet...
On to serious questions...didn't carl ask rick what happened to shane, how he died. Why would he point the gun at him if he didn't know?
Where did Shane get the new gun? I thought that Rick gave it to him and he would pull the trigger with no bullets in it.
Or I thought that Darryl was gonna come from side and smoke Shane with an arrow to the temple.
I personally think this was better by allowing Rick to fully realize that he has to do bad things for the betterment of the group/ his family.

I just want to know when the handcuffs got taken off Randall.

weren't they still in the room the were holding him in?
Also with that in mind, I thought Shane was going to shoot him then and there and be done with it. It seems that he thought up the murder plan on the fly. Correct me if wrong too but didn't Rick walk behind Shane until they reached the open field?

He had them on in the woods when Shane was pushing him around.

what did they find on ground where he had been sitting? Remember it being silver. Not saying you are wrong, just curious and deleted off dvr already. when did he take them off and what did he do with them?
Posted on 3/13/12 at 12:21 am to glock22josh
the handcuffs were still in the barn. They were bloody and still fastened.
Remember one of them saying, well he was desperate guess he would have tried anything. Thats when shane hid his gun and ran out hollering saying randall had blindsided him and ran off into the woods and that he had chased him a little ways before returning to get help and that randall had gotten his gun away from him.
darryl-damn he wasn't 125 and you let him get the slip on you ---looking at shane like yeah right you piece of shite.
