nteresting. Darabont said that we would know in season 2.
I think it has to be either:
They come back even if not bite
or
Lori is prego
Both of those make sense

I can't believe I sat through 10 minutes of Kevin Smith to see the clip from next weeks finale...

Shane also cut his hand with a knife in the school bus after.stabbing a zombie in the head an episode or two back, maybe that infected him?

its been at least a few months since the outbreak. The virus can and may have mutated to its current stage.
maybe it was a military biological weapon that got out and mutated. Maybe jenner knew this and was trying to figure out a way to reverse or cure the outbreak.

True.
All in all, I thought this was the second best episode of the series. Going to have watch again to decipher those quick cuts scenes of zombies at the end.

Wish they had killed shane like they did in the comic, but great none the less.

It's mutated since then. It's become airborne. Everyone has it, it just doesn't become active until they pass. That's my only explanation.

He did say that the french were close.
Id love to see more flashbacks in future episodes that tell the story of the immediate aftermath of the outbreak.

I just assumed that was Shane's mind going zombieish, since it occured so quickly after he died--the urge to tear flesh and "feed" overcoming him as he succumbed to death and his brain turned. Or was there more to it than that?

not gonna happen, thats why darabont was fired/quit. He wanted to do flashback episode to fill in gaps and the director/producers didn't.
