Let's see if they go with the oft-repeated myth that Warren Moon was not drafted out of college because he was black and had to go play in Canada to prove himself.

Truth - Warren Moon, like Doug Flutie and several other players, was offered more money to play in the CFL than he likely would have earned on a (non high pick) rookie deal in the NFL so he signed a contract with them well before the NFL draft. Also, the same year Warren Moon came out of college, the first QB taken in the first round was Doug Williams, who is of course black.

JaMarcus is a prime example that racism in sports isn't a thing. If you actually ever listened to him speak, you would never draft him higher than the fifth round. He is a moron. And that proved true.

Also the rest of those quarterbacks listed pretty much sucked.

Patrick Mahomes $45 million
Dak Prescott $40 million
Deshaun Watson $39 million
Russell Wilson $35 million

Top 4 annual salaries of current NFL QBs.

Rather than do a special about how those black athletes have achieved success at such young ages they choose to dig into the tired old racism well of shite that happened 20+ years ago.

Sad!

Patrick Mahomes, Cam Newton, Russell Wilson, Tua T, Lamar Jackson, Kyler Murray, Deshaun Watson, etc are all non-whites starting in teh NFL and are doing so because they're good at football and have earned their shot.
all very recent QBs - there has been a sea change for the nfl to get to that point.

I am interested in what Moon and McNabb have to say but maybe not enough to sit through her bullshite.

Exactly. Moon had a pretty interesting story. From not being recruited much for college, to the CFL, to NFL hall of fame. But not interested in this production.

I agree with the meritocracy and egalitarian comments. I have no idea what either means, but they sound cool.

Where is Kordell "Slash" Stewart?

They could have covered the black and gay angles...

I will never forget the first time I heard Aaron Brooks speak. I was driving home from a Saints game where he started and turned on 870 for the postgame show. I told my wife that I couldn’t believe they let this caller on the air because his sentences were incoherent blabber. When they ended with “thank you Aaron,” I was immediately pissed that we chose him over Jake Delhomme.
