it's as shame "Can You Ever Forgive Me?" isn't getting more play ... haven't seen everything yet, but it's one of the best.

If Black Panther is even nominated I might flip my shite. But this has been such a weak year for movies thus far so it won't surprise if it is nominated.

Black Panther was good, but it was the third best Marvel movie released in the year and I say that without Trolling.

For some reason, I expected Welcome to Marwen to be up there. It looks pretty good and has the star power with both actor and director.

Not sure why they're bothering with odds when Aquaman hasn't even been released yet.

that spiderman film is getting rave reviews. I've seen several critics calling it the best comic book film of the year one of the best movies of the year.

Without giving away spoilers I can tell you that Green Book checks off every box on the current Oscars checklist. And it does it without overly pandering to black or white audiences. I'll be shocked if there are enough nominees to knock it off of the Best Picture list.

I like BP but fricking hell the insane Oscar hype people are giving it is asinine. IW was a better film and no Oscar buzz.

Do you guys think black panther is only getting Oscar mention because it is African American director and characters?

Just wondering

I feel like there’s no way our country would show favoritism just to meet diversity or cater...

I hope it wins so the Oscars can be definitively entirely irrelevant.

I thought the trailer looks awful...

Pretty good - not great - movie with terrible CGI.

Not worthy of even being in the Oscar discussion.

I don’t see how you can make an argument on Black Panther being better.

The Story: Better
The Writing: Better
The Direction: Better
The Characters: Better
The Villain: Better
The Action: Better
The Special Effects: Better
The Stakes: Higher

Seriously, name one thing Black Panther does that is better.

I disagree on almost all of this, but it's crazy Black Panther is getting this much Oscar consideration.

I can count on one hand the number of superhero films that I thought transcended the action/popcorn level. BP ain't one of them.

Awful? That's a bit over the top.

I'd like to see what you think BP did better than IW.
