DC movies are going to get bad reviews from critics now because Paramount is viewed as right wing

Similar to Snyder’s films

Snyders's films were bad. Bad films tend to receive bad reviews.

Justice League directors cut I thought was decent. James Gunns superhero movies are literally all the same. Suicide squad, Superman, GoTg all have the same feel to them. None are bad but it kinda gets old and predictable

Wonder how many jobs this will get rid of?

Paramount and Warner Bros overlap a lot more than Warner Bros and Netflix.

I honestly don’t think they care about people potentially losing jobs. Their main frustration is the continuous loss of complete media control they once had.

I can only speak to departments I regularly work with, but here is my semi-insider take.

Physical Production- both Paramount and Warner are a mess. Warner has shed nearly everyone after Discovery took over. Paramount hasn't had anyone stick around very long in years.

Production Finance- Warner has a great production finance team both for TV and Features, but it is way to small even with their reduced content. Paramount is pretty bad in this space. Their production finance group is very fragmented between Paramount TV, Paramount Features, CBS Studios, and Viacom folks.

I think if they merge the physical production groups they can probably adequately staff for a studio which neither have been able to do since the pandemic. There shouldn't be much workforce reduction there.

They need a strong leader in production finance to sort the mess they have out. If they let the guy who runs the group at Warner wrangle together the fractured bits of teams they have it will be a good move.

Nobody should be happy about WB selling to either Netflix or Paramount you brain rotted twit.
If they can't appreciate art or integrity, none of this will matter to them. We're living in a world where a segment of society considers AI as an equal if not better alternative to creativity. The loss of jobs is just sweet schadenfreude to them.

dont really see the angle when Disneys Marvel movies and TV shows have gotten mediocre to bad critic scores since 2019 Endgame?

this deal will pass, but who knows what Paramount will be forced to sell off? Disney brought Fox but had to sell the Fox sports divisions. that took over a year.

But they already owned the industry.

what should be concerning are the Middle East countries buying up our American entertainment industries.
