Ellison gonna get CNN come hell or high water. Whether you are OK with that I guess depends on whether you think the American press being a wholly owned subsidiary of a couple of billionaires is a good thing

Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think CNN is really that big of a motivating factor for anybody. Cable TV is dying, CNN is third in the ratings, it just doesn't seem that important at this point. Plus if they really wanted CNN so badly they could have just bought that company after it is spun off from WB.
I think they want the IP (DC, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter etc...) and they want the cable channels in order to get the sports rights currently owned by Turner.

It isn’t feasible to reboot it already. Keep the casting and everything that was set up in Superman/Supergirl
Maybe need to make some changes on who has final say over the direction of the universe, or bring some creatives in to reign Gunn in some on his goofiness

I agree, which likely results with Gunn moving on. I just feel like we'll eventually get yet another reboot. DCs problem has been all these ownership changes the past decade

Feel like netflix made the right decision here. Paramount is gonna hemorrhage money under this deal but they can keep it afloat with cash injections for as long as they want.
