Hell no! I hope we make it to the 1890s because I've anticipated making a list, and lost a lot of sleep narrowing down the best Auguste and Louis Lumière 45 second cinématographe clips

I was hoping we could make it to the 30's AT LEAST. We might have to trim the list count down to 50 by that point, but it can be done. By the 1890's we could do a top 3? The garden film, Moon, and...?

I could go to the 30's and have a pretty strong list but I'd be stretching it after that. I'm with you, 50's is my favorite decade too. Just a ton of the best director's ever pumping out films.

Maybe we could lump the '60s in with the '70s edition.

Have to do the 70's by themselves, could lump 50's-60's and 30's-40's or do top 10's after the 70's? I could 20 thru the 50's, after than will be tough

Purple Rain should be at the top of the 80's movie list.

I figured you'd a been in this thread pushing that one earlier.

Looks like Blade Runner is tanking.

the older movies get the less I've seen so it will be more difficult for me to come up with movies from the 40s 50s 60s and so on.

Closing today.

Usually about a week or so, so expect it next Thursday or Friday. I like to check and then recheck because I'm a perfectionist.

And I need to make sure that when I tweak it so the movies I like score well, that no one can notice, that takes time.

I had it pretty high in mine back on page six.

Edited to add:

Cough,

Have you seen Frantic? It's on my 20. Roman Polanski directed kidnapping drama starring Harrison Ford. Shot in Paris and has a wicked looking French actress named Emmanuelle Seigner. Her whoreish dope fiend look still does it for me.
Here she is with Ford atop a n old building trying to save a trinket.

She is the same girl that was with Depp in The ninth Gate. At least one Paris locations is used in both films. It's here on the Seine.

Here is a link to some dude's blog that really loved it.

My #1 movie was Once Upon A Time In America(the 4 hour version not the 2 hour US theatrical release). Blade Runner was #3.
