It’s incredible, everyone was silent leaving the theaters I’ll never forget.

Same thing I’ll always remember about it. I’ve never been to a packed movie (before or since) that was literally completely silent after it was over. Was a very surreal experience.

The saddest part is those phone conversations .. the earlier hijacked flights the passengers didn’t know they weren’t gonna go back to the airport as part of a hostage situation.. by flight 93.. everyone knew it would be their last conversations with their loved ones..

If they had waited just 5 more minutes, they would have saw the first plane crash into the WTC. And flight 93 wouldn’t have taken off most likely

Great movie. I went to Shanksville to see the memorial last year and was intrigued by Richard Guadagno‘s story - they found his badge in the trees and not in the crater meaning he was in the cockpit when it crashed. He didn’t get the publicity some as some of the others because he didn’t make a phone call.
Rewatching it last week I noticed his part for the first time and it was amazing.

One question I’ve always wondered is how people in 2001 were able to call their loved ones yet you’ve got no service on a plane today to call home if something were to happen in the air.

May be a dumb question…

Why doesn’t this film get talked about more on a national scale? It’s a masterpiece and hugely underrated.

I think the subject matter is so heavy and unflinchingly documented that most folks watch it once and that’s it

Maybe so, still didn’t post the footage though.

But the movie is so well made. It manages to blend the actual historical events of 9/11 with a Paul Greengrass style action-thriller vibe. I loved it.

I do agree. The greengrass shaky cam fits perfectly on an out of control airplane maneuvering in the air with a pilot that isn’t that good .
