I like the absurdity and surreal style of British humor and their witty dialogue exchanges
I def agree that their vocabulary of slang is much better than ours
The Office(UK)
Garth Marenghi's Dark Place
Fawlty Towers
Blackadder
Red Dwarf
Little Britain
Bo Selecta
These are some of my favorites.
What I also enjoy is that many of them are only 8-12 episodes, so they are easy to get into and experience in a day or 2

Indeed. They tend to have far superior vocabularies and verbal exchanges than in most American shows

I like American humor more because I am an American and have more in common with them sociallly and culturally. I get the jokes instinctively. also, we only see the best British comics, giving you a misleading perception of British comics.

Honestly I have never found British humor very funny. Not even Monty Python.
I do find it funny that Monty Python has become a litmus for intelligence.
In reality, I've seen Three Stooges movies that were more intelligent in their humor. Monty Python is very juvenile.
