Balon Greyjoy is way worse than Tywin Lannister. At least Tywin cares about the Lannister name and legacy and allowed Tyrion to be the hand of the king while he was away because he knew Cersei was incompetent and couldn't control Joffrey. Balon basically didn't care that Theon came back and is a huge a-hole. Robert wasn't a good father either and only cared about whoring and drinking. Roose Bolton is a bad father too . Randyl Tarly wasn't good either.
Ned Stark wins the Father of Westeros award for sure. Davos seems to be a decent father too and did what he had to do to raise his family's status. Stannis doesn't seem like a bad father either and seems to love his daughter a lot more than his crazy wife does. Oh and Jeor Mormont took the black so Jorah could be Lord of Bear Island. See, not every GoT dad is bad.
