Am I just an old man yelling at clouds, but do you still get pissed/frustrated when you see what we had to go through when it was proven incorrect? I usually just turn the channel because the people just look stupid

Poor unimportant characters had reg blue cheap masks.
Rich main characters had the fancy black clothe style

Talk about a great show they jumped off a cliff. I tapped out when they did the "muh illegal asian rainBRO is gun get depawted" episode. They went from being funny to a political commentary hot mess.

They did a great job of capturing what it is like to work in that sort of retail environment but then came the cliff.

I wouldn't say that I get mad, but I think it's a very stupid thing to do.
ETA: I did stop reading a Stephen King book a while back because he kept talking about masks, COVID, TDS, etc...

If you're referring to programs trying to show that they're set during the pandemic, then yes.
If you're referring to newer programs set in the present, you get a pass (unless they're trying to portray the masked character as being highly susceptible to disease or as a paranoid person, then you're back to cloud screaming).

Our lazy local news channels show old stock footage of mask wearing when they're reporting on current events.

Working in the film industry was miserable during this period also. We already work 16-18 hour days on average with only a 30 minute break for lunch. Now imagine having to come in an hour before your call time to take a rapid covid test (every single day), then sit in your car until you receive a text clearing you for work. So yeah, you're coming in at 4:00am now instead of 5, just to take a test that is wrong half the time (I worked three fricking days with covid and kept testing negative until the fourth day).
Then try imagine working but having to stay six feet apart from people in your department or else risk having these cunty arse "covid officers" send you home. It was impossible to get any work done efficiently.
And the cherry on the titty, initially we had to wear masks... goggles... and fricking gloves. fricking goggles kept fogging up, it was a complete clown show.
If work wasn't so hard to find back then, I would have quit and found something else to get my by until that bullshite was over. People don't realize how high stress and physically demanding the film industry is and COVID made it far worse.

You should have seen my poor dental hygienist. She looked like she was going in a nuclear meth lab. She said that she would change careers if she had to wear it all the time.
