Not only is it one of the best movies to come out of the 90's, it is an all time great classic. The star power of the cast is impressive, and it has some fantastic individual scenes in it (pretty standard for a Tarantino script though). Tony Scott was a master filmmaker that I don't think gets enough mainstream recognition (though most here definitely appreciate him).

The best part of it all was Gary Oldman's Drexl. This is one of Oldman's most memorable characters of his career. Dude killed it!

Tends to be overlooked because Pulp Fiction is highly quotable. TR had a great storyline.

Yes this movie is awesome. I remember introducing friends to it in college and at first, because all they knew was the title, they were giving me shite for wanting to watch a romantic comedy. I was like no motherfrickers just watch you’ll see.

It should have been a huge hit. It was miles better than Natural Born Killers, which was released 1 year later and grossed 5x as much.

I don't remember seeing or hearing anything about when it was in theaters, which was probably soon after I had seen Reservoir Dogs on VHS.

You’d like the Tarantino cut of True Romance. His script was built a lot like Pulp Fiction, scenes out of linear order and all. The Tarantino cut re-edits the film to be like his original screenplay. Check it out brother bear and if you can’t find it, I’ll post a link from my Google drive so you can download it there.

I presented this for a film class project back in college. Everyone including the teacher all agreed how great this scene was.
