I think the only thing I've seen him in where he was a good guy was The Tudors.
Really intense episode. No idea how they're going to get out of that shite either. I can't see a happy ending for anyone at this point. Even though I'd love to see Vince Vaughn ride off into the sunset.

I knew there was no way Woodrugh was getting out of that situation unscathed.
The minute he called Velcoro ("I'll explain it later....") and went underground.. that whole scene down there set up the "I have to get this information back to Bezzerides/Velcoro" arc. I said, yep.. you're not gonna make it back.

I thought that too, then I realized there was no way they only had those five guys on him. There were more people around and I would bet they were in communication about which direction he was heading. Once he climbed out of the tunnel he probably only had one exit from that man hole.

He was Velcorros captain. Holloway. He was at the party and was one of the names on that document showing arresting officers.
