How come Russell was able to enter Alcide's house without being invited? I'm sure Bill was invited by Alcide, but Russell just busts up in there...what's up with that?

but it wasn't his house. Coot didn't live at Alcide's. Tara lives at Sookie's so I'm guessing that is why she was able to invite Franklin into sookie's house.

Was it ever stated in the show that the Vampires had to be invited in by someone that lived there? I cant remember one way or the other back in Sn 1.
I'll just say this, without giving any spoilers, in the books, the vampires could be invited in by someone other than whoever lived in the home. I can think of two instances off the top of my head.

I just rewatched the preview for the next episode and it looks like Tara bites somebody and also it looks like Bill kills somebody. Will Tara really become a vampire bride? surely not!

yea but a lot of things that happen in the books don't happen on the show and vice versa. My friend who was read most of the books has already told me not to put too much stock in what people say from the books because Alan Ball isn't exactly following them.

FWIW the antebellum house they have been at in Mississippi is actually Longwood Plantation in Natchez. The inside scenes werent filmed inside of it b/c of the fact that house's interior was never completed due to the start of the Civil War back in 1861.
