Man I completely disagree about both. I thought both batman and LOTR went down with each movie with the exception being fotr=tt

Batman begins was by far my favorite of the batman trilogy.

LOTR doe not because the 2nd movie (TT) is the best.

Batman does not because the 1st is the best.

Indiana Jones does not because even ignoring Crystal Skull, the middle movie (TOD) was the lowest.

Arguably, the "Man With No Name" trilogy may be the only one.

I'm bending it to my will. ToD was a prequel to RotA.

Back to the Future is arguable since all 3 are really good.

LoTR is also really arguable, I enjoyed Two Towers the best but it seems like Return of the King got the most critical claim and both are easily better than Fellowship.

There are sequels that are better but even that is uncommon. Let's face it, a trilogy progressively getting better is almost unheard-of.

Tdkr is shite so the op failed from the start

I don't think there is one. Original Star Wars comes close except for Jedi being last

BTTF 2nd was blah

LotR is a complete trilogy. I think fellowship is the best but there isn't a clear cut progression. You can't say unequivocally that return > fellowship

TDK > TDKR

Empire>Star Wars >>>>>>>>RotJ

I can't think of one.

BB, I can see it being the favorite for some fans but is undoubtedly inferior in the minds of critics. TDK will stand the test of time. BB in the last act is your run of the mill super hero movie and the action sequences aren't well shot (example: batman fighting 10 guys on the docks)

IMO, Begins > TDK > TDKR. All three were great, though.

The Godfather trilogy could have been.
I also think 1 > 2 > 3 in the Godfather series.

I don't like either of these answers.

I think if you took a poll most would say TDK is the best of the Batman trilogy. Probably BB being the second favorite.

For me, LOtR is probably complete opposite. I loved all three, but RotK is probably the worst due to a final battle scene not being that great. The battle of helms deep was much much better.

The Man w/ No Name trilogy is probably the only one I could say gets it. Toy Story MAYBE, but I think 2 is probably the worst.

I don't know how all you guys remember the Toy Story movies. I've seen them all, but I couldn't tell you what happens in the 2nd or 3rd one if my life depended on it.

Like most are with Indiana jones and skulls with crystals dooming or whatever the hell it's name was, I never saw it, I kind of feel about Godfather 3. It's not that I hated it, I just wish they never would have made it.
