I saw the play in NYC when I was kid, and it was much better than the movie.

Why do people feel the need to offer an opinion on a 30+ year old movie that they didn’t even finish watching?

Is it just needing attention or false sense of importance or loneliness?

I watched Biloxi Blues in the theater in Biloxi. I don't remember hating it...but I don't remember liking it as well...my Dad was stationed at Kessler.

My grandfather along with my Dad and his siblings were transferred from Sault Ste Marie to Kessler in late April. There was still snow on the ground in MIchigan and in a few days they were in 80-90 degree heat. Big shift. They filmed the whole trip. I want to say this was 1965 or 1966. Not sure.

But Biloxi Blues is a good film.

You and Jody are killing me. It's Keesler.

Grew up on that base. All the old WWII barracks were there into the 90s. They were sketch as hell on the inside after so many years.

I saw this movie as a kid, and perhaps it is nostalgia but I always liked it.

Highlight of Stripes was the scene with the English class for immigration.

what do you expect from a old 80's movie

You sir are a moron. The 80’s is hands down the greatest decade of filmmaking.

Ooooh I wish I was a loofa.

I didn't think it was a bad movie when it came out, but I always wondered, were there many really effeminate men in the military during WW2? Would they even have sent them to bootcamp?
