Can't we get a free pass for that once in a blue moon?
I'll give you a free pass, but there are plenty of others who dont snob for anyone specifically and THEY annoy the shite out of me

Wow.
I'm blown away by the review, just blown away, and I can't wait to see Malick's latest.
My favorite director as well probably, and all the criticism of his films wears me down.
Gotta see this film !

Where did you see it? I'm under the impression that Louisiana won't be getting it anywhere until July 8 at the earliest.

I saw it in Dallas. I live in FW. I've ventured farther to see films.

It was showing on 2 screens there.

Non-spoilery comment: I haven't heard an audience remain as quiet as they after the houselights came up and credits rolled.

When we were leaving the theater, Fox Search Light PR people were asking everyone what they thought to get good press clips, but most answers were mumbles or "I'm not sure..."

Here, collect your thoughts to one of the best pieces of music in the movie

Is this an observation that bodes poorly for the film or no?

And what's your take? Did you like it? Did it come across as pretentious?

I think it just left everyone in a contemplative mood. I actually thought it was going to be a different movie than it was. But it really was the kind of movie I was expecting, just in a different way.

pretentious

I don't like that word and won't make a comment on it.

I'm still working through it almost 24 hours later.

Can we start a spoiler thread for Tree of Life when more people see it? I have something that I need to bring up, to see if others saw what I saw.

I preferred this one (has a spoilery image)
