If you got some time watch this shite. It’s about this guy that was a great welder that got into a zoning dispute with the town officials.

He then proceeds to secretly take a bulldozer and make a tank out of it. Then he takes this damn thing and destroys city hall

The Killdozer...

This is on Netflix and I can’t lie this guys a hero of mine now.

Remember the story well and was glad to watch the Tread doc yesterday. I was never sure of the complete story before I watched it.

He sounds like a giant a-hole honestly.

I will have to check this out though...I remember when this happened. And I liked Tank (1984) when I was a kid.

I will say the dude had perseverance. But man was he a whack job by the time he went dozering. Super paranoid. I’m sure the locals were stand-offish But good lord, not to this degree. Dude was a psycho.

There is little doubt that Marv Heemeyer was a dangerous flake.

His reasoning that God wanted him to take this destructive action and his using the fact that the dozer fit into his building as evidence of God's will is something only a true nut job could imagine.

That said, those cretins running that town were probably as duplicitous as Marv made them out to be. The two Thompson brothers looked anything but honest and trustworthy. I didn't believe a word they had to say.

This is a story of what happens when a defective individual gets pushed to his limits by small town bullies.

He came off as crazy but dang, could a whole town be lying? Also, the older brother looked off kilter.

The only time I lived in a small town was during my lost year in Oregon.

I quickly learned you were either one of them via birth or you will never be one of them.

Marvin was most likely a loon, and the ultimate blame for the incident has to be put on him, but the town folk just came across as disingenuous in this doc.

Listening to the brothers who apparently run the town, I became aware that the depth of the family's gene pool is probably quite shallow.

Good show. SPOILER ALERT

I never understood how he got inside and then the cops could not get in. They had to use cutting torches forever to crack in. How did he seal himself inside?

And one cop said he spotted the cameras that Marv used for navigation. Why didn't they shoot them out? Maybe the cameras were behind that thick Lexan they mentioned?

I think he had a generator on the inside that tied into the exhaust system that allowed him to tack weld the entry door from the inside.

I never understood why they didn’t try to shoot the cameras either.

They were, but the still could have shot the glass with paintballs or something. Maybe they were concerned that he wasnt going to stop regardless and he may actually be more dangerous driving it blind.

I blame Judge Doucette!

Those damn Doucet's!

I have 20 minutes left and its pretty good. What did they do with the Killdozer? It should be in a Museum.
