Synopsis:
quote:

When the infamous "Sweet Sixteen Killer" returns 35 years after his first murder spree to claim another victim, 17-year-old Jamie accidentally travels back in time to 1987, determined to stop the killer before he can start.

Trailer

Anyone checking this out this weekend?

I adore Kiernan Shipka and it's from the producers of Happy Death Day, so I'm hoping it'll at least be decent.

I watched it last night... easy to watch. Nothing special but had a few decent laughs.

Watched it this morning, really liked it. I'm a complete sucker for time travel movies though.

And nostalgia.

Saw the trailer, 80s retro sounds good.

Do they do as good a job as Hot Tub Time Machine or is the past reference-light and ancillary?

I just watched it and loved it. Definitely in a similar vein as Happy Death Day, Freaky, Final Girls, etc.

This movie was monumentally bad. I don't even know where to begin.

Watched this last night. Had seen some handwringing about woke messaging, but after watching it I thought it was obvious that the woke comments from Kiernan’s character were satirical comedy about how cringe and lame woke culture is. Thought it was great.
