Holy crap. That scene. Easily the most terrified I've been in a theater.

who sleezed his way into getting that movie shown as his church's youth group lock-in? THIS GUY :coco2:

Night of the Living Dead still irks me. it's not scary per se but it brings up a feeling that has always bothered me, that slow relentless feeling that no matter how many you kill or where you go they are always there surrounding you and closing in.

yeah it's completely claustrophobic and suffocating, like a true zombie movie should be

I know there was humor in it to take the edge off but American Werewolf in London scared the shite out of me. Great special effects too.

I might have to throw in Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer..not conventionally scary but so bleak that it was terrifying

prolly kinda lame by today's standards. But for the reasons mentions and add in the fact that it was rather close to home (texarkana). And it came out at the time I was making out in cars in deserted areas.

The scariest movie I have ever seen is The Blair Witch Project.

There are no other movies that scare me. Period.

Not afraid to agree with that. Saw it in theater and was creeped out big time.

Other two are easy:
1. Exorcist
2. Amityville II: the posession(mostly b/c of my age when I saw it)

Might not be the scariest movie I've seen but the Descent is certainly one of the most entertaining. That movie had a lot of potential to shite the bed but I was thoroughly surprised.

I was even more surprised when I saw the second one and that the production value didn't drop.
