i also have a sneaking suspicion that if The Wrestler was about a washed up used car salesmen, it wouldnt be on the list either

What if it was about a grocery store deli counter worker

Wow that’s a bad list. 60% at least shouldn’t even be on it much less as high as they are.

That’s because about 80% of this board has terrible taste in movies.

Seeing as I never saw most of the serious movies from this decade (Whiplash, Birdman, Boyhood, Moonlight, etc) here’s my favorites in no particular order:

Rogue One
Interstellar
Thor: Ragnorok
Scott Pilgrim vs the World
The Campaign
21 Jump Street
The LEGO Movie
Winter Soldier
About Time
Deadpool

For the 2000’s:
Anchorman
Talladega Nights
Fanboys
LOTR
TDK
Wedding Crashers
Hot Tub Time Machine
Gladiator
The Patriot
The Other Guys

Every list thread on this board ends up so bad that they’re good

I'm not sure there are 9 better movies than No Country in the past 35 years, much less 20.

The Social Network and Fury Road way too high.

City of God too low. (Maybe the best true foreign film I've ever seen.)

Whiplash should be top 10 on any list. Sicario is definitely top 20. Interstellar should be top 20 as well.

List is shite.

04. Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

It's a giant car commercial.

Gimmie a little better story than a 2 hour long drag race.

8 of those would probably make my list so I cant hate on it that bad. But I dont see how you can put The Social Network at #1. It's ok, but it is far from the best movie of the past 20 years.
