Well, honestly, those versions were made for children as opposed to adults.

I think they were made for children and women and perhaps gay men....everyone but the actual audience of Batman

Yeah, it was shitty writing. If you think one sucks balls - which it does, try the one made in the mid-60's. I can't believe we had such bad taste in junior high. Never really liked junior high ........

Holy hell I forgot how bad that movie was. It's like they were trying to make a shitty movie.

Uma Thurman was still smoking hot though. That's probably why she wasn't in any of the terrible scenes.

Yeah she was

The cast for this movie was just bad overall, though. I guess I can see the appeal for Clooney at Batman, but Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze? And how does it make any sense in the Batman universe for Mr. Freeze, Bane, and Ivy to all team up?

Pretty Batman and Robin is what you get when a gay guy makes a kids movie

Even some children hated this movie...I think I was 10 when I first saw it.

batman really was prepared for anything. I mean packing ice skates? Genius

I was reading this about the movie earlier...

quote:

According to John Glover, who played Dr. Jason Woodrue, "Joel [Schumacher] would sit on a crane with a megaphone and yell before each take, 'Remember, everyone, this is a cartoon'. It was hard to act because that kind of set the tone for the film.

Batman Forever is 100 times better than Batman and Robin. Batman and Robin is ridiculous.

I agree, but only because I haven't seen Forever in quite a long while.

Forever, like B&R was supposed to be the stereotypical over the top comic with all the bright colors, huge personalities and all, but it didn't seem to run off the rails like B&R did. Holy hell

Batman Forever is by no means one of the best superhero movies, but it sure blows Batman & Robin out of the water in comparison.

I think Nolan has spoiled us, though. Batman was never meant to be cartoony, imo
