Idk if it falls under what you’re looking for but Uncut Gems is a wild ride. Beyond that I’d say Collateral, Phone Booth and Sicario.

Those are some I’ve seen and I’d say along the lines of what I’m looking for. I’ve also seen memento but not night crawler.

I just watched Night Crawler again the other day after having not watched in a few years. It’s excellent. JG acted his arse off in it.

I like the guy above mentioned by SFP. Kind of films I was looking for. Favorite thriller ever is what lies beneath. I’ll probably give night crawler a watch tonight.

Some good ones already said (Collateral, Identity, Memento etc) but I would add Frailty
